ABOUT ME
My name is Dan, I am a guitar teacher based in Enfield based near Bush Hill Park. Having worked throughout London as a guitar teacher for the last ten years I bring a depth of professional experience to my lessons with knowledge for those who are eager to expand their talents and skills! I offer a quality, personalised service at an affordable price. Most of all I would like the lessons to be fun and inspiring for my pupils.

Starting out as a teenager I was taught by Brian Parker for my first four years as guitarist. He played guitar for Chuck Berry and was the writer of the number one 60's hit 'Concrete and Clay' by Unit 4 Plus 2. After that I studied contemporary popular music at college, followed by a Degree at Goldsmiths University.
In the 25 years since then I have accumulated a huge amount of experience in recording, songwriting and playing live shows for many different bands with amazing musicians touring the UK, Europe, North America and Russia. Hopefully I can pass some of this knowledge onto my students..
MY GUITAR LESSONS
My teaching style focuses on a patient approach, creating lessons that are fun for the pupil and ultimately making sure the criteria is aimed toward teaching the guitar style and the music that you would like to learn. Oh and don't forget you'll need to practice as well : )

If you are a total beginner we will start with the basics such as learning the different parts of the guitar, how to hold the guitar, tune the guitar, play basic open chords and basic rhythm. For those of you who are more experienced guitarists there's a whole world we can explore. This includes barred chords, how to read tablature, different types of chords/inversions, the caged system, different picking patterns, scales, solos, music theory, slide guitar and even open tunings!
